As the National Convention of National Union of Bauchi Students, NUBASS draws nearer, many indigent and prominent sons of state have continued to show interest to run for many positions allocated by the Constitution of the union.

Abdulsallam Yusuf ( Ayabson ), a 300 level physics department of Bauchi State University Gadau, BASUG has joined other contenders to run for the office of the Secretary General.

Yusuf was born on 14th November, 1993, in the historic town of Kafin Madaki, Ganjuwa Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

He started educational pursuit in Central Primary School Kafin Madaki 1999-2005, later joined Government Technical College Gumau in Toro Local Government from 2005-2011.

Yusuf is now 300 level student of Physics in Bauchi State University, Gadau.

As a student with zeal of unionism and concern with welfare of students he served as an Ambassador of Ganjuwa Students Association, GANSA National body, Secretary Muslim Student Society of Nigeria, MSSN in GTC Gumau, also Secretary, Ganjuwa Youth Forum (Gindin Tanki Chapter).

As an entrepreneur, he engaged himself in many skill acquisition programmes.

When given the opportunity to serve as Secretary General Ayabson promised to work in synergy with the other members of the executive council of NUBASS in resuscitating students image in Bauchi State, providing channels for the voice of the students to be heard, ensuring the frequent payment of indigene scholarship, establishing of favourable atmosphere for friendship and strong collaboration between NUBASS national body and Local Branches.
