North-West Youth Awareness Foundation, paid a visit to Psychiatric Rehabilitation Centre, Kano State, on Sunday.

The visit was inline with the objectives and vision of the foundation, in order to have youths that would be beneficial for themselves and the society at large.

Speaking during the visit, Mahmud Garba Shawai, Founder of the foundation said ” We deemed it necessary to visit the dwellers of this centre, for us to re-educate our selves on how to tackle the issue of drug abuse in Northern Nigeria, since it has been the prerequisite factor that led numerous youths into psychological disorder”.

Shawai further said the foundation solely depends on self contributions among its members and donated some items that will help and assist the centre in maintaining or and propelling its standard. The items include:
1. 62 clothes
2. 30 brooms
3. 2 cartons of Viva and Klin detergents
4. 2 pieces of Izal
5. 3 mosquitoes nets
6. 9 pieces of klin (big size)
7. 19 pieces of viva detergent (big size)

” We thank all members for thier commitments with the foundation and we also solicit for contribution from other formal Non-Governmental Organizations as well as philanthropists” he added.
