Ten days after Dr. Bala Lukshi was confirmed as substantive Head of Service in Bauchi State, the State has appointed Alh Aliyu Jibo as new acting head of the civil service.

A statement by the governor’s media aide, Mukhtar Gidado said the appointment of the new Acting Head of service followed the retirement of Dr. Lukshi was confirmed as head of service on Saturday, October 10th.

“His Excellency, Sen. Bala A. Mohammed CON ( Kauran Bauchi ) the Executive Governor of Bauchi State has approved the appointment of Alh Aliyu Jibo, Mni as Acting Head of Civil Service for Bauchi State.

“The appointment followed the mandatory retirement of the former Head of Civil Service, Dr Bala Musa Lukshi with effect from 14th October, 2020 after putting in 35 years of meritorious services to the State.

“While congratulating the new Acting Head of the Civil Service, Governor Bala Mohammed urged him to bring his wealth of experience to bear on his vision of a virile civil service for Bauchi state”, the statement read in part.

The new acting head of service according to the statement is an indigene of Dambam Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

“Alh Aliyu Jibo was until his appointment the most Senior Permanent Secretary. He was in-charge of Political Affairs in the office of the Secretary to the State Government. The appointment took effect from 14th October, 2020”, the statement concludes.
