Barring last-minute changes, arrangements have been concluded for the transfer of the dethroned emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II from Loko village to Awe local government area of Nasarawa State.
The Chief of Staff to the deposed emir, Munir Sanusi, confirmed to DAILY NIGERIAN that they have arrived at the Government House for onward movement to Awe.
Our reporter observed that the state Commissioner of Police, Bola Longe and his State Security Service, SSS, counterpart, were at the Government House to receive the emir.
DAILY NIGERIAN gathered that prominent personalities, including Aliko Dangote, might have influenced the transfer, following concerns raised over the inaccessibility of the present village the emir had been banished to.
It was gathered that Awe is better than Loko village in terms of amenities.
