Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar says collaborative efforts between the state government and members of the national assembly have yielded positive results towards bringing federal government’s projects into the state.
He made the remarks at the launching and the distribution of twenty five million naira scholarship to five thousand indigenes of Birnin kudu and Buji students of higher institution provided by member representing Birnin Kudu/Buji federal constituency Engineer Magaji Da’u Aliyu.
Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar called on the lawmaker to continue to put the interest of the people at heat and reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to complete Birnin kudu General Hospital project this year.
In his message to the occasion, the Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila represented by the Chief Whip Alhaji Alhassan Ado Doguwa, described Engineer Magaji Da’u Aliyu as a versatile politician that filled the gap in Northerner’s participation at the National Assembly.
He commended Governor Badaru Abubakar for his agricultural policies and youth empowerment programs.
In his remarks, Engineer Magaji Da’u Aliyu, said two bills seeking for establishment of College of Education Special and Electrical University in Birnin kudu and Buji Local government Areas had passed first and second readings at the floor of the House of Representatives and called on the state Governor to assist towards the realization of such projects.
Others spoke at the occasion include the state APC chairman Alhaji Habibu Sani Sara, chairmen of Birnin kudu and Buji local governments Alhaji Wada Faka da Alhaji Hudu Babangida Dambazau.
The occasion was attended by the state deputy Governor Malam Umar Namadi, SSG Alhaji Adamu Abdulkadir Fanini,and members of the national assembly from Kano, Bauchi, Niger and Cross Rivers states.
