The Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu was among hundreds of dignitaries and well-wishers who graced the turbaning ceremony of Barrister Muhammadu Sambo Aliyu Bello as the 4th Magajin Rafin Gwandu on Saturday 29th, February,2020 at Abdullahi Fodiyo's Palace in Birnin Kebbi. Bagudu was accompanied among other important dignatories to the occasion by ambossodor of Benin Republic, Adjovi Yekpe Paulette. The eight other important personalities that were turbaned by the Emir of Gwandu, Alhaji Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar included, Alhaji Bello Bagudu as the new Wakilin Gwandu, Alhaji Zayyanu Bello Rashid , Sarkin Gabas, Alhaji Almustapha Haliru , Sarkin Zabarmawan Gwandu and Alhaji Sani Dododo as the Tambarin Gwandu. Others are Alhaji Abubakar Chiso Nayaya as Sarkin Gobirawan Gwandu, Alhaji Hassan Sidi Umaru Ali, as Sarkin Larabawan Gwandu , Alhaji Abubakar Danbida, Sarkin Samarin Gwandu and Mr. Benjamin A.Kawai as the new Wakilin Southern Kaduna Gwandu. The Emir of Gwandu in his remarks shortly after the turbaning of the nine personalities thanked Governor Bagudu for approving the conferment and subsequent turbaning of the new Magajin Rafi , Barrister Sambo Aliyu Bello and 8 others who bagged traditional titles from Gwandu Emirate He said Nigeria was blessed with both natural and human resources, while stressing the need for people to be thankful to God and remain peaceful with one another. He reiterated his call on people to seek for knowledge warning that western education was never forbidden in Islam .." People should not heed to the call or be deceived by those who comouflage in the name of goodness to decieve the society that western education is forbidden ", he said. The monarch while charging people to be prayerful for their leaders advised them to support them in discharging their duties. He thanked the neighbouing republic of Benin and Niger for their good ties with the state and all those who attended the epoch ceremony in his palace.
