Technical Students spotted Repairing their School.. Where? Just click here


The Students of Government Technical College Bauchi have been spotted by the state commissioner of Education Dr. Aliyu Usman Tilde repairing some dilapidated classrooms in the school.

In a post on his Facebook page on Friday he said ” The former NITEL Training School, Bauchi is now a site of Government Day Technical College, Bauchi. Over the years, the entire site got completely vandalized of its fittings and many of its roofs.

When I visited it two weeks ago, I was able to cut a deal with the principal and his teachers. You supply the technical expertise and labour, I provide my personal cash, I offered them.

If you repair the worst damaged block well, to the appreciation if the Governor, I can get my money back and give you more to repair additional blocks. Are you in? They said, “Yes”. They submitted me a bill if N2.8m. I paid a N1m advance into the school’s account 10 days ago” .

The Commissioner has also posted on the progress of the work today on his Facebook page.
