The Students Union Government, SUG Abubakar Tafawa-Balewa University Bauchi has called on the students occupying rooms in both Gubi and Yelwa campuses of the institution on or before February 6
In a statement signed by Secretary General of the body, Nazifi Suleiman and made available to our campus correspondent on Tuesday.
” As the 2018/2019 session comes to an end, the school management through the Student’s Union Government (SUG) hereby notify all students occupying the school hostels in both campuses (Yelwa & Gubi) that their tenancy has been terminated and are hereby requested to vacate the school hostel and hand over all school properties in their posession to their respective Hall Supervisors on or before 6th February,2020 , failure to do so will attract punishment” .
Speaking on the stand for students that will participate in Student Working Experience Program ( SWEP ) said the management has approved Block D, Block A and Block in Yelwa and Gubi Campus respectively.
” With regard to students that will partake in the SIWES & SWEP programs, the School management have approved “Block D” (popularly known as G.R.A, in Yelwa campus) and “Block C” (Gubi Campus) and for the female students Block A in Gubi while Babylon in yalwa, to serve as accommodation to them throughout their stay in the school so as to enable the school carry out maintainance activities in the remaining blocks”.
The statement added that ” At this juncture,The SUG is calling on the entire students to disregard any message that is not officially signed by the students union.Students are also adviced to desist from spreading rumours around the two campuses.
Lastly,The SUG hereby congratulate the entire graduating students of ATBU (set 2019) for writing their final exams successfully.
As Other Students embark on annual vacation,The SUG hereby wish them a successful,enjoyable and restful break” .
