Kanam Emirate in Plateau state has pledged its support to Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state through prayers for the success of his administration.
The Emir of Kanam, Alhaji Babangida Mu’azu Muhammad made the pledge when the governor paid him a condolence visit over the death of an elder statesman in the emirate, Late Alhassan Shuaibu.
The monarch said the emirate deemed it necessary to give maximum support to the governor to enable him meet the huge expectations of the citizens of the state who voted him massively during election.
While tracing the history between Kanam emirate and Duguri District of Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi state, the Emir of Kanam appealed to the governor to be focused in managing the affairs of his state.
Alhaji Babangida Mu’azu who congratulated the Bauchi governor over his victory at the supreme court, enjoined people of the state to renew their support to him to enable them reap dividends of democracy.
Earlier, Governor Bala Mohammed said the visit is to condole the emir over the demise of the elder statesman in the emirate, Late Alhassan Shuaibu.
Mohammed while acknowledging the support of the emirate to his administration, pledged to emulate its legacies of the rendering selfless service to humanity.
