A tanker filled with petroleum product has fallen in the LASU area of Lagos, endangering the lives and safety of commuters plying the road on that axis.

The unfortunate incident, though it has not led to an explosion and loss of lives and properties, it has led to a traffic standstill along the LASU Road this morning.

The arrival of security agents and the military has ensured that the situation has not escalated.

Eye witnesses says the whole atmosphere in the area has been filled with suffocating smell of fuel, which has led the soldiers on the scene to begun seizing phones belonging to commuters and passers-by.
