Bauchi State Ministry of Education has commence a ICT training for it’s staff on Wednesday.
The commissioner Dr. Aliyu Tilde disclosed this on Facebook page shortly ago.
He said the ministry commences with staff from Exams and ICT directorates.
” Right now we are holding the opening session of our ICT classes for our staff, starting with those from the Exams and ICT directorates”.
Tilde further said Centre of Information Technology and Development (CITAD) sponsored the training.
He further explained that education reform will not succeed without ICT compliance, hence need for total compliance in the ministry.
” We are determined to achieve full compliance here at the Ministry.
Future privileges like appointments into the Ministry as ordinary staff or directors will be based on IT compliance”.
” Fortunately, we have so many new computers to go round the staff here at the Ministry.
In the next one year, most of the problems that the Ministry has in engaging the public, schools and its staff regarding examinations, admissions, promotions, administrative circulars on policy, etc, will all vanish” he added.
The commissioner added that ICT gadgets will be utilized efficiency in order to reduce hardship in information dessimination with the ministry and the state in general.
” These directorates will be communicating with boards and schools under the Ministry through internet facilities like emails, social media, etc. With a click on the mouse, the message of the Ministry will go round the state within seconds in its pure, unadulterated form.
This will go down to the schools under the MInistry, to begin with, before it goes down to local education authorities that handle primary education, God willing”.
