The former Governor of Bauchi State, Muhammad Abdullahi Abubakar has reacted to the alleged pelting of his car at the supreme court today during the hearing of judgement filed against the victory of incumbent Bala Abdukadir Muhd.
In a statement by his Media Aide Ali M. Ali and made available to Newsmen in Abuja.
He said ” Our attention has been drawn to this story and wish to state that the pelting of our principal was wholly organized by the foremost henchman of Senator Bala Mohammed as a last minute ditch effort divert attention and to influence the outcome of the governorship legal tussle before the Supreme Court of Justice” .
Abubakar claimed that thugs and patriotic were hired to mastermind the act capable of diverting the attention of the public.
” It was this hireling who contracted the smaller hirelings most of whom are not even from Bauchi state and positioned them in specific areas to embarrass our principal.
The idea is to make MA Abubakar look unworthy of trust and leadership and divert attention”.
He further said ” We are however, delighted that you reported that those who executed the shameful act in the sacred vicinity of the Supreme Court are “believed to be supporters” of Senator Bala Mohammed”.
Muhammad described the act as uncivilized conduct hence the need for it condemnation.
” We are not in the least surprised by this resort to uncivilized conduct from supporters.
Such shameful conduct is reflective of the violent behaviour of their benefactor”
” We call on our teeming supporters to remain calm and focused to the very end.
