Kano State Government has been commended for executing developmental projects in the state.
The speaker of the Nigerian Youth Parliament, Rt. Hon Mubarak Mijiyawa made the commendation while speaking after going round some of infrastructures executed by the administration of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
He said ” the projects that we have seen has clearly demostrated the commitment of this administration of moving the state forward, we seen multi million naira bridges with flyovers that beautify the city and also ease traffic flow”.
Going round the Aliko Dangote Skills Acquisition Centre, the speaker expressed joy over the governor’s commitment towards youths development in the state.
He said the facilities, equipment and machines in different departments in the center have shown the Kano State Governor has design a laudable plan for youths development in the state.
“I must congratulate the governor for having this vision. This center is a befitting and world standard . I will not only serve the people of Kano state but other states in the federation”
Mijiyawa added that ” going by what we have seen today in the center as rightly said by the commissioner of works we can key into this by engaging engineer among us the architectures, builders, computer scientists among other professions can come and learn such skills in Kano “.
He blasted media reports that are prostrating the administration of Governor Ganduje.
” It is no longer a rumour that Governor Ganduje is a really, it forever because we have seen that and his projects will remain for ever, media reports are painting negative stories about this administration which is not so ”.
Earlier the commissioner of Works and Infrastructures, Muazu Magaji along with Commissioner of Youths and Sports Development Kabiru Ado Lakwaya took the young parliamentarians round the center.
The sections visited are electrical/electronics, computer and communication, fittings/plumbing, machines section, catering , embroidery and fashion among others.
While taking round the parliamentarians via the underpass constructed by the Ganduje administration, the Commissioner of Works and Infrastructures Muazu Magaji said for example Dangi Roundabout flyover/underpass project, being executed at the cost of about N5 billion and Kofar Mata flyover which was awarded at the cost of N15 billion and they have transform the landscape of the ancient city of Kano thereby improving commercial activities the city has been known for many centuries”.
