Member representing Darazo/Ganjuwa Federal Constituency in Bauchi State, Mansur Manu Soro has been commended for proposing a bill for the establishment of Federal Polytechnic, Wailo Ganjuwa Local Government.
The member has on Tuesday presented a motion at floor of the green chamber proposed the bill and the request passed a second reading.
In a statement signed by the member representing Bauchi Central at the Nigerian Youth Parliament, Engr. Imrana Garba on Wednesday said ” the motion raised by our dear member is worthy of commendation”.
He added ” our zone Bauchi Central Senatorial District has been left in terms of educational development particularly Ganjuwa Local Government, and if our show light of the day, the Polytechnic will serve as a turning point for development of technical education and skills in the zone and entire Bauchi State”.
Garba has also commended the member for constructing a Clinic in Shila village of Ganjuwa Local Government.
” I will like to use this medium to lauded the effort of Hon Mansur Manu Soro for constructing a Clinic in Shila village of Ganjuwa Local Government, this facility will ease the suffering of the people of that community in accessing the needed health care ”.
He also called on other legislators to emulate the leadership style of the member.
” I am calling on other legislators both at the state and the national assembly to emulate this young and vibrant member and if we can found more of Mansur type , many developmental projects will come up”.
Recalled that Hon Mansur Manu Soro has proposed a bill for the establishment of Federal Polytechnic Wailo at the floor of the house of Representatives Abuja.
Mansur on his Facebook page he said ” Yesterday, I presented before the Honorable House for second reading, a bill for an act to establish the Federal Polytechnic Wailo, Ganjuwa Local Government Area, Bauchi State. The bill was voted and passed by the House for further legislative action.
We remain irrevocably committed to developing the educational sector in Bauchi State and indeed our dear Nigeria through effective legislation”.
He said ” If this Bill is considered and passed, the Federal Polytechnic will best serve national interest in several ways. Specifically, the Polytechnic will: Address the educational need of the growing population of Bauchi State resulting from the influx of victims of the Boko Haram activities in the frontline States.
Harness the much-needed technical knowledge and skills necessary for the reconstruction and rebuilding of the north-east region that will contribute to the growth and development of our dear nation.
Bridge the gap of non-existent federal tertiary institution in the entire Bauchi Central Senatorial District .
Create a conducive atmosphere for educational development in Bauchi State ”
