A University Don from Abubakar Tafawa-Balewa University, ATBU Bauchi, Shitu Kasim has called on the state government to look into issues sorrounding non-release of 2019 West African Examination Certificate for Senior Secondary Schools.

Shitu made this called in post on his Facebook page on Thursday, October 24.

He said ” Still on the non-release of the WAEC/SSCE Results for the year 2019 in Bauchi State.

This delay surely have grave implications for the future of this young prosperious and potential admission seekers”.

The Lecturer explained that with current scenario on ground only few who registered National Examination Council Certificate ( NECO can futher their education.
To start with, many of these students who hope to go further, will only have to rely on their NECO results this is for those who are bouryent to have registered for NECO. I am sure, this is a luxury for those whose parents could afford to pay, who I am sure a minority”.

Describing the situation as worrisome, stressing that ” Many of these students are from average homes who depended on the govt for the payment of their SSCE. Now most of these vulnerable group who are able to get some good grades need to upload their results to complete their admission ritual which is time bound”.

He further said ” If nothing is done in good time, they will have to forfeit their chances for admission in the current admission season.

And we all know how dangerous delay is with these youths idle, I think the Governor and the Commissioner of Education need to act fast and appropriately too “
